Memetic Launchpad
Web3 meme coin creation and trading platform.
Memetic Launchpad is a Web3 memecoin creation and trading platform built on the SUI blockchain, designed to let anyone create, launch, and trade Memecoins in minutes, without needing deep technical knowledge.
The project was developed during a hackathon by a cross-functional team of designers and developers. I served as the Lead Product Designer, responsible for defining the product experience, dashboard structure, and interaction logic across the platform.
At its core, Memetic explores how speed, transparency, and trust can coexist in a space that is often chaotic, speculative, and difficult for newcomers to navigate.
Role
Lead Product Designer
Product Type
Web3 Trading
Scope
Trading platform, coin launcher, live coin market, chatroom, airdrop distribution
The Problem
Memecoins have become a powerful cultural and financial phenomenon in Web3, but creating and launching one is still largely inaccessible to non-technical users.
Most existing Memecoin tools:
Require complex smart contract interactions
Offer poor visibility into token performance after launch
Lack transparency around ownership, liquidity, and market behavior
Create opportunities for rug-pulls due to weak or absent safeguards
For a hackathon environment, the challenge wasn’t just to build fast, but to design responsibly, balancing excitement with structure, and speculation with clarity.
The question became:
How might we design a Memecoin launchpad that feels fast and fun, yet grounded in real-time data, accountability, and user control?
Key Challenges
Designing for speed without sacrificing trust:
Memecoin culture values immediacy, but users still need clarity and confidence before trading.Presenting complex market data in a usable way:
Live prices, liquidity, holders, volumes, and charts can easily overwhelm users.Wallet-first authentication:
There is no traditional sign-up flow; the wallet is the identity.Preventing exploitative behavior:
Rug pulls and liquidity drains are common in Memecoin ecosystems.Hackathon constraints:
Limited time meant prioritizing the most meaningful features while designing for future scalability.
Design Insight
Early exploration made one thing clear:
This product didn’t need to educate users about crypto, it needed to organize chaos into a clear, actionable system.
Instead of flashy, abstract Web3 visuals, I leaned into a direct, dashboard-driven experience:
Data-forward
Action-oriented
Familiar to users who have interacted with trading or analytics platforms before
The interface needed to answer one core question at every moment:
“What can I do right now, and what’s happening in the market?”
The Solution
We designed Memetic Launchpad as a centralized dashboard experience, powered by real-time blockchain data from the SUI network.
Core capabilities include:
Creating and launching a Memecoin in minutes
Automatic listing on the live coin market after launch
Real-time trading using SUI as the primary exchange asset
Transparent visibility into token ownership, liquidity, and performance
The platform allows users to:
Connect their crypto wallet (e.g. Slush, MetaMask, Phantom, etc)
View live market data across all tokens
Trade, swap, or hold Memecoins with confidence
Participate in token-specific communities
System Design & Key Features
Wallet-Based Access
Users authenticate by connecting their wallet, removing friction while ensuring on-chain identity.
All actions (creating, buying, selling) are gated by wallet balance and SUI availability.
Dashboard Home
The dashboard acts as the product’s control center:
Hero section explaining the platform’s purpose
Quick actions to launch a coin
Live sections for: Trending tokens, high-volume tokens, newly created tokens
This ensures users can act immediately or explore the ecosystem before committing.
Live Market Data
A core trust-building feature.
Each token displays:
Current price
Market cap
24h trading volume
24h price change
Total liquidity
Number of holders
Users can filter by:
New tokens
Trading tokens
Top gainers
Top losers
This transforms speculative trading into informed decision-making.
Token Detail Pages
Clicking a token reveals deep transparency:
Token creator and ownership details
Total earnings and fees generated
Treasury liquidity
Contract address
Creation date
Full price and performance charts (1D, 15D, 30D)
Users can buy or sell directly from this view, provided they have sufficient SUI for gas and fees.
Token Communities & Airdrops
Each token has:
A dedicated chat room for holders
An airdrop feature allowing creators or holders to distribute tokens to others
This supports community-building beyond pure trading.
MemeCoin Creation Flow
Creating a coin is intentionally simple:
Upload token image
Enter name, ticker, and description
Enter market cap
Add social links
Review wallet balance and launch cost
Launch instantly if sufficient SUI is available
Once launched, the token is automatically listed on the live market.
Parallel Contribution (My Role)
As Lead Designer, I:
Defined the overall product structure and dashboard architecture
Designed all core flows: coin creation, trading, and token exploration
Led UX decisions around market data visualization
Collaborated closely with developers to ensure feasibility within hackathon constraints
Designed with future features in mind, including liquidity locking
I also worked hands-on with another designer, ensuring consistency and speed across the interface.
Impact & Outcome
Within the hackathon scope, Memetic Launchpad successfully demonstrated:
A complete Memecoin creation-to-market lifecycle
A scalable dashboard system adaptable to future safeguards
A balance between speculative energy and product discipline
The project laid a clear foundation for:
Liquidity locking to prevent rug pulls
Stronger trust mechanics for creators and traders
Expansion beyond hackathon use into a production-grade launchpad
Metrics & Signals (Hackathon Scope)
End-to-end MemeCoin launch flow completed
Real-time market data successfully integrated
Multiple token interaction paths validated (create, trade, explore)
Positive feedback on clarity and usability despite Web3 complexity
